The Millennium ~ Envisioning the Rest of God ~ Part 7

Sabbath Greetings Everyone,

Eden Restored!

The first mention of Eden is in Genesis 2:8. It is there that the Bible tells us that God planted a garden in the eastern part of the land of Eden and it was there that God placed the man and woman whom He had created. The Garden was in Eden, it was not Eden itself. The Bible plainly tells us that the Garden was in a specific area in the eastern part of the land called Eden.

Scripture states that God created the heavens and the earth in six days and that He rested on the seventh day. It also tells us that all that God created was “good”, which means that everything He had created was pleasant, fitting, suitable, and a delight to Him. The Bible reveals that the earth and everything therein was created in a good [pleasant] condition and that He made the Garden of Eden for man to dwell in, to build upon, to “dress” and to “keep” it.

Isaiah 45:18 For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God Himself that formed the earth and made it; He hath established it, He created it not in vain, He formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.

So we see that the specific land that God called Eden was God’s paradise; it was a delight and brought much pleasure to God. And that is what the name “Eden” means! God gave Eden its name and He calls things what they are and/or what they represent.

The Hebrew name is the same: “eden” (Strong’s 5730) and it means: delicate, delight, pleasure. Or (feminine) aednah {ed-naw’}; from adan; pleasure — delicate, delight, pleasure. See also Beyth ‘Eden. (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance)

So we see that the name Eden means “delight”. God saw that this land was good and it was a land that brought Him pleasure as He created it. God delighted in this piece of land and therefore that is what He called it. “Eden” which means DELIGHT.

The garden that He planted in the midst of this land was also very beautiful. It must have been just as much or even more lush and extravagant than all of Eden and it was in all probability, the most beautiful place on earth. Later Isaiah would refer to it as the “…the garden of the LORD“. (Isaiah 51:3)

The name that God gave to the land of Eden indicated that it brought much delight and pleasure to God and it must have been quite a delight for the first couple that He created to behold. God gave it to Adam and Eve to be their dwelling place; that is until they disobeyed Him.

Genesis 2:8 And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

The Bible tells us that God planted many beautiful fruit bearing trees in the Garden and in the midst of the Garden grew both the Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

Genesis 2:9 And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

In verse 10 we read that a river went out of Eden and as it went it watered God’s garden. Please notice that only one river went out of Eden. Also, this river did not run THROUGH Eden but had its source in the land of Eden and flowed out of Eden. The river that came out of Eden and flowed eastward was one river in Eden, first watering the Garden and then exited from it and then continued eastward beyond the area of Eden.

Genesis 2:10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

In other words, this source of water began in Eden and then went out of the land and from there divided into the four rivers that are cited in verses 11-14 of Genesis 2.

Genesis 2:11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

2:12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.

2:13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.

2:14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.

This gives us a picture of what we can look forward to in the Millennial Kingdom of God for He tells us that the world is going to become like Eden [pleasant and a delight] like the Garden of the Lord.

A Great Restoration is Prophesied

In the Millennium, God is going cleanse Israel (and the other nations as well) from all of their filth and their sins. He will also cause the cities that were destroyed in the tribulation to be inhabited and all the ruins are going to be rebuilt.

The fields that had been abandoned and left to deteriorate will be cultivated, replanted and will once again produce bountifully! This great miracle will be seen by those who are living in the Millennium.

After the great restoration has taken place, the people will say in great wonder: “This land that was deserted and became desolate has become like the garden of Eden; and the waste, desolate, and ruined cities are fortified and inhabited” (Ezekiel 36:35).

All the people who survive the tribulation and who witness the ruined places rebuilt and the desolate land cultivated and now growing luscious, bountiful crops will know that it was the Lord that made it to happen just as God had prophesied through Ezekiel so many years ago.

Scripture assures all who read this prophecy that God has spoken it and He will do it.

Ezekiel 36:33 Thus saith the Lord God; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded.

36:34 And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by.

36:35 And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.

36:36 Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the Lord build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the Lord have spoken it, and I will do it.

We find this same prophecy in the book of Isaiah where God says that He is going to make the wilderness and the deserts “like” Eden. This is speaking of the Millennium.

Isaiah 51:3 For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like

the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

The Hebrew word for “waste place” is chorbah (Strong’s #2723) and means: decayed place, desolate place, destruction, laid waste place. (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance)

God through His prophets gives us His promise that even though the world becomes totally polluted and laid waste in the final years of the rule of man, the rubble and devastation is going to be cleared away and replaced with a Eden-like condition once again.

In a few short years this planet Earth will see the greatest renovation project that the world has ever seen since the time of the re-creation back in Genesis.

We need to prepare our minds for what God is going to do and praise Him for we have been so privileged to have been given a preview from the pages of God’s Word. It is God’s Spirit that empowers us to see spiritual things in a way the rest of the world cannot understand at this point in time. Those whom God is calling have been given a glimpse of the glorious future that God has planned beyond the great tribulation and they can rejoice that these things are going to happen.

1st Corinthians 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

2:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

It is so easy to get bogged down with our current trials, in addition to seeing the state of the world disintegrate before our very eyes ;these things alone can cause us to become very discouraged.

We see the breakdown of all sense of propriety and common sense in our governmental leaders and the society around us and there is nothing that we can do about it. But if we keep our eyes focused on God and concentrate on what He has in store for us in the latter days, the vision of Millennium that He has laid out for us can keep us uplifted and energized and motivate us to endure to the end even through the worst of times. “Where there is no vision, the people perish…” (Proverbs 29:18)

God is going to provide us with many opportunities in His coming kingdom if we can keep the vision and never waver from our FAITH while we live out our lives in this present evil world. We are going to be on the ground floor of building the greatest civilization that has ever existed among the sons and daughters of Adam and Eve.

Some of us have a “fix it” mentality that when we see things that are wrong or just not working properly, we want so desperately to fix it; and when the situation is hopeless we can become frustrated that there is nothing that can be done to fix it.

Others may be gifted in building, designing, architecture, decorating, organizing, inventing, or engineering, etc. etc. Just think of all the opportunities that await us when the slate of this world with all its pollution, dysfunctional infrastructure, and the wickedness that manifests itself in all aspects of this world’s civilization is swept clean and we can start over again from scratch. Only this time we will be able to build and fix things the right way: which will be God’s WAY!

We are at the very doorstep of this wonderful new world when Babylon will come tumbling down and God will replace it with His kind of city. He is going to restore His creation like it was in the time of Adam and Eve before they rebelled against Him.

The world will once again become like the Garden of Eden, but even better, for it is going to eventually encompass the whole world.

We will have one thousand years to do the work of improving, enhancing and embellishing all the different lands of the world and getting the earth ready for the Main Fall Harvest of Humanity. When they are raised to life and see the earth restored, will they ever be surprised… and I am sure very delighted!

This week in our study of envisioning the Millennium we will look at some of the many Scriptures that describe what the environment and the topography will be like when God removes the curse off this tired old earth.

For review, why do we have so many problems: family breakdown, pain, suffering, deception, false religions with their false traditions, disease, wars, famine, and finally death? The whole world lies under the curse of death and decay that came as a result of rebellion against God and His government and of taking on for ourselves the ways that seem right in our own eyes.

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

3:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Paul acknowledges that all people including God’s people suffer because of the present conditions of the world and he had a lot to say about the plan of God and how we can have hope even in the midst of our trials and suffering and the breakdown of society around us.

Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. (See whole chapter)

The Gospel message is about a King, His kingdom, and His subjects and how those subjects can be a part of the kingdom by knowing and living the way that leads to salvation.

In Peter’s first sermon on the Day of Pentecost, he spoke of Christ and the purpose of His coming to earth as a man to live a perfect life and die for the sins of humanity. Peter called for those in the crowd to repent and to become converted, and then proclaimed the promise that Christ will return again. Peter describes Christ’s return as a time of refreshing because of Christ’s presence here on earth, and all things are going to be restored.

Acts 3:18 But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.

3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

3:20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

3:21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

Peter uses the word “times” of complete restoration; he calls that time “the restitution of all things” which means a a complete restoration of ALL THINGS in the physical realm as well in the spiritual things, and restoration [to God’s ways] in every aspect of life here on earth.

The Greek word “times” is kronos. This word is in the plural in the Greek as it is used in verse 19. “Times” (which is plural) means that there will be more than one time of restoration, for even after the one thousand year Millennium the restoration will continue. The Main Fall Harvest of Humanity will also be a time when the rest of mankind, (all those who have lived and died before the Millennium) will be raised back up to be given a chance to come to know God, repent of their past sins, and embrace God’s ways.

They, too, will be in need of “restoration” and if they accept Christ’s atoning sacrifice and then turn from their wickedness that they practiced in their previous lives, they too will to be deemed worthy to enter into eternal life and to become a part of God’s spiritual Family.

Peter is describing a designated time(s) (both in the Millennium and in the Great Main Harvest of Humanity lumped together) when men and women will have the chance to realize their fullest potential that God had planned for them all along; and they will have wonderful opportunities that they never in their wildest dreams could have imaged.

Peter reiterates the promises that were written in the Old Testament and clarifies for them what was meant when God spoke of “restoration” throughout all ages by the mouth of His prophets who had been given a visionary glimpse of this wonderful future time and how it is part of God’s plan for humanity.

Abundant Living in the Millennium

God is a God of abundance, not scarcity; and He created abundantly of all the different kinds of animals: land, air and sea creatures of many species and He commanded them (including the man and woman) to be fruitful and multiply upon the earth.

Satan brings destruction and death wherever he goes, but God is about life and about living abundantly when His children are living in obedience to His way of life.

All we have to do is look at the animal kingdom, the plant kingdom, all the various flowers, and the multitudes of stars that light up the sky each night to see God’s abundance and love for variety.  He does not hold back when it comes to filling the earth and the whole universe with innumerable kinds of living creatures, plants and flowers on the earth along with billions of stars and planets in the heavenlies.

Isaiah 40:26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

When the Millennium begins, the population of the earth will have been drastically reduced because of all the wars, famine, disease, earthquakes, and devastating plagues that killed huge numbers of people; but the numbers will not stay diminished for long.

The Millennium is about marriage and families and about living God’s way of life, so we know that after teaching the people about God’s ways, how to have good health, and because war and disease will be obliterated, people will live long, productive lives and will have children. These children will grow up and have many more children.

The prophecy to Abraham in regard to becoming a great and prosperous nation with many descendants was dual in nature. This prophecy came to pass in the subsequent years after Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; and the children of Israel have grown in numbers throughout history especially during the last few hundred years or so.

But this prophecy also applies to the time when Christ is going to restore Israel to the land when God’s Kingdom will be upon the earth in all of its glory, and then this prophecy will be fulfilled in all of its fullness.

Genesis 13:14 And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:

13:15 For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.

13:16 And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.

13:17 Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.

Abundance will characterize the times of the Millennium, and beyond in the Main Fall Harvest of Humanity. Because of the curse placed on Adam and Eve, their descendants for the most part  have lived in scarcity and poverty for most of the six thousand years allotted to man.

Because of the blessings of Joseph in these latter days it is hard for those of us who were born and raised in the Western nations to realize this reality. But in the Millennium growth and prosperity will be the norm starting with Israel and then branching out to all the rest of the world.

All will know what it is like to live in an atmosphere of plenty, with plenty of good healthy food,  lots of pure drinking water and adequate housing.

The people and their children will be able to grow and flourish in all the nations on earth and live in prosperity and abundance.

How will this be possible, how will God make this happen? First of all as mentioned earlier, the things that cause early death and infertility will be things of the past. God will have His team of kings and priests assisting Him in doing His the work of restoring and teaching the people how to be productive.

Also, the physical people who will be under the leadership of the resurrected saints will have their part to play as well.

The children of God will work together with the children of men in making sure that the work is being carried out in building houses and cities, planting crops, and engineering infrastructures that will accommodate the growing population.

Not only will they have to plan and build for the generations that are born in the one thousand year Millennium, but they will have to get the world ready for the masses that will be raised to physical life during the seven thousand years of the Main Fall Harvest of mankind.

All who are living, both physical and spiritual will be co-workers and all will have to work together to skillfully build so that all people can live with plenty of food, clean water, and have suitable dwelling places.

The earth will have to be restored to a condition that can hold and feed all the peoples living, first in the Millennium and then in the Main Fall Harvest of Humanity; and not just any old condition but to a beautiful Utopian condition.

God speaking through Isaiah compares the restored Zion to becoming like Eden and like the Garden of the Lord [the garden that was in the midst of the land of Eden].

Isaiah 51:1 Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the Lord: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.

51:2 Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.

51:3 For the Lord shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

51:4 Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.

51:5 My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.

God, in describing the Millennium, tells us that Israel will once again be like a well-watered garden. He calls the people who are living in God’s Kingdom a repairer of the breach and a restorer of paths to dwell [and walk] in.

Isaiah 58:11 And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

58:12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

God is going to make the necessary changes that will make this all possible: He will change the current geography and the topography of the earth to make it like Eden but these verses do not say that it will be exactly like the first Eden.

Eden is being used as a benchmark and a point of reference in these passages, so God is saying that the future world will become similar but it will be on a much grander scale. God is going to change the ecosystems and restore an Eden-like environment and this beautiful, harmonious environment will expand and will eventually fill up the entire world.

If we can envision what it must have been like just after God renewed the surface of the earth, created Eden and planted a beautiful Garden, and then created all the living creatures including Adam and Eve; we can have an idea of what God’s Kingdom is going to be like environmentally!

Ezekiel 36:23-38 talks about the abundance that will be take place in the Millennium and how the people who have been saved will be washed of their sinful nature and their idolatry, given God’s Holy Spirit and will empower them to become like a flock, huge flocks of men. This prophecy makes reference to Eden in the context of a beautiful millennial setting when God’s kingdom will be thriving and flourishing.

This is a prophecy of the coming Millennium on earth, a time of “rest” from the bondage to Satan and his rulership. This is a wonderful promise of God to His people, those whom He has called, to have great hope in His plan of salvation and later to those whom God will call at a future time.

Ezekiel 36:3 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

36:24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

36:28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

36:29 I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.

36:30 And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen.

36:31 Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.

36:32 Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord God, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.

36:33 Thus saith the Lord God; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded.

36:34 And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by.

36:35 And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.

36:36 Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I theLord build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the Lordhave spoken it, and I will do it.

36:37 Thus saith the Lord God; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock.

36:38 As the holy flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the Lord.

Again we need to go back to Genesis to remind us of the beginning of the story of mankind and what the restitution of “all things” will be like and what it means when God comes to restore the earth to a Garden of Eden condition. So we see that the land of Eden provides a standard of what God is going to restore the whole world to in the future millennial Kingdom.

Eden was characterized not only by its great beautiful appearance but by the fact that it was a land of abundance and it was very fertile. It was teaming with life, animals, plants, fruit bearing trees, a river springing forth from its midst, and it was totally free from man’s tampering and destruction that is the hallmark of our world today.

In the beginning as God was creating and working, at every stage He would pause and remark that what He had just created was GOOD and we can imagine that it was also very, very beautiful. Christ is going to restore the world to its original goodness; and we, those who are redeemed when He returns, will have the privilege of helping Him.

Genesis 1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

1:13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

1:15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

1:17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

1:18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

1:19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

1:20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

1:21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

A Command to Replenish the Earth

Genesis 1:22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.

1:23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

1:24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

1:25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

God commanded all the living creatures to be fruitful and multiply; for the fish to fill the waters in the seas, and for the birds to multiply in the earth; and for the beasts of the earth to bring forth each after his kind.

We can just imagine the newly created living creatures including all beasts, fowl and water animals fruitfully reproducing, filling up the land, air, and seas with multitudes of their own kind in obedience to God’s command to be fruitful and to multiply.

But this command to be fruitful was not just to the animals.

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

In this verse we see the first command that God gave to the newly created man and woman was for them to be fruitful, to multiply [reproduce], and fill up the earth.

The second command was to have dominion [or to manage] all the animals, which implies that God wanted mankind to manage and to take care of all the other creatures in such a way that all could flourish, reproduce, and replenish the earth with their kind as well.

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Through Adam and Eve as representatives of all the men and women that would come after, mankind was given the mandate to multiply and replenish the earth.

The Hebrew word for “replenish” is male or mala (Strong’s #4390) and means: accomplish, confirm, consecrate, be at an end, be expired, be fenced, fill, fulfill. (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance)

This means that mankind was to fill up the earth [to the full], to build upon what God had started and also to embellish God’s creation by having dominion and managing it in such a way that the Eden-like condition would expand to the ends of the earth.

At the beginning of the Creation Week, God said that the the earth had become without form and was void. Since Adam and Eve were created on the sixth day, just six days earlier the earth was in a condition of being void and empty [tohu and bohu].

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

God renewed the face of the earth and then made the living creatures. The earth was no longer without form [waste] and void [empty]. And then the very first thing God did after creating Adam and Eve was to bless them, and He gave them their marching orders, which was to “replenish” [or to fill] up the earth.

Mankind was given the responsibility to “dress and to keep” their beautiful environment but also to have dominion over the rest of creation so as to help make the rest of the earth into a Garden of Eden, just as the land that they had been given to live in before they rebelled.

Genesis 2:15 And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

But everything changed in the very next chapter when Adam and Eve obeyed the serpent and rebelled against God, taking on for themselves the right to determine how to live their lives.

The earth and the living creatures have not been very well managed ever since then and the Garden of Eden paradise condition did not fill up the earth.

We may have had some periods of renaissance when there was a certain degree of restoration that made some areas of the earth more livable and beautiful; but it was nothing compared to what God’s Eden and His Garden were like.

Man’s achievements have been very limited and have never lasted very long. The great cities and scenic parks that men have built may look like sparkling jewels from afar, but when we come close we see the filth, the squalor, the crime zones, the ghettos, and deterioration of all forms.

The many achievements of men down through the ages may seem impressive for a while but our history shows that eventually everything that man has made deteriorates and crumbles into ruins. Those who want to destroy (rather than build and beautify) ruin and eventually bring to nothing any achievements that man has made.

There is coming a time when God is going to destroy those who destroy the earth. We read of what God is going to do to those “who destroy the earth” in Revelation 11:18.

So instead of replenishing, tending and keeping the earth as God commanded in the very beginning, man has destroyed and polluted God’s beautiful green earth and it continually gets worse. The destruction and pollution is rapidly coming to a climax in our modern times and it will get even worse in the 3 ½ year tribulation.

Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

What the Present World Needs Most is Regeneration

In Matthew 19, Christ speaks of “the Regeneration” referring to the Millennial Kingdom of God and that is how He describes it. He also said that the twelve apostles would be ruling with Him during that time, judging the twelve tribes of Israel, which means that they too will be involved in the regeneration.

Matthew 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

The Greek word Jesus uses here for “regeneration” is paliggenesia (Strong’s #3824) and means: a new birth, regeneration, renewal. From palin and genesis; (spiritual) rebirth (the state or the act), i.e. (figuratively) spiritual renovation; specially, Messianic restoration — regeneration. (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance)

The English definition of regeneration is:

1. the act of regenerating or the state of being regenerated.

2. the regrowth of a lost or injured part of the body.

3. spiritual rebirth; religious revival.

God gives us many examples of regeneration in nature:

“Regrowth of lost or destroyed parts or organs.  Certain lizards, for example, can regenerate their  tails if they lose them to a predator, and a number of invertebrate animals, such as starfish, can  be cut into several pieces that  will  each regenerate into a whole new organism. Regeneration is common  in plants,  where cuttings can grow into a new  plant.” (TheFreeDictionary)

“In biology, regeneration is the process of renewal, restoration, and growth that makes genomes,  cells, organisms, and ecosystems resilient to natural fluctuations or events that cause disturbance or damage.” (Wikipedea)

The use of the verb “regenerate” can also mean to reform spiritually or morally or in spiritual revival. It means “o form, construct, or create anew, especially in an improved state, and to give new life or energy to; to revitalize.

So regeneration means a “new birth” and again we see a promise of this new birth in Romans 8 where Paul uses this metaphor showing that all of creation is awaiting a kind of regeneration, a new birth.

The term “regeneration” is used in describing what happens to man when he is spiritually transformed and in his letter to Titus Paul uses it to describe what happens to a believer when he has been forgiven, washed clean of his sins, and then renewed by being given God’s Holy Spirit.

Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing [cleansing] of regeneration [new birth, spiritual transformation], and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Matthew 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

And since the apostles, along with the rest of the sons of God, are going to be ruling under Christ in “the regeneration”, they too will be part of the work of renewal, renovation and bringing about rebirth to the planet; but also renewal in the hearts of men.

By studying these definitions and seeing this principal in nature we can more fully understand this term when Christ uses the word regeneration which means “rebirth” in describing the time when He, the apostles, and all the other saints will be creating anew (making the world an enhanced, improved state); they are going to revitalize it back to a Paradise condition which will give new life to this earth and will make it new again; Eden restored!

The hope of all of creation and of mankind is the promise that Christ is coming back to earth a second time, but this time it will be to build a restored or a brand new Eden.

The planet is going to be restored, revitalized; it will be regenerated. This restored Eden will be characterized by abundance, growth, and a growing and ever-expanding population of both beasts and animals.

Peace and security will abound and God will not allow anyone or anything to do harm to others. Even the wild beasts will become tame and will lose their disposition of attacking and devouring each other. The predator animals will become vegetarians like oxen and cattle.

Hosea 2:18 And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely.

Isaiah 65:25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

Isaiah 11:6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

In Spite of Man’s Current Wickedness, There is Hope!

God, speaking through His prophet Jeremiah, describes the character of mankind, the end result of being without the knowledge of the Lord, and doing wickedly.

He says this is what it is going to be like just after the tribulation when the earth has been destroyed. But in verse 27 there is still hope for He says that He is not going to make a full end.

Jeremiah 4:22 For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

4:23 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.

4:24 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.

4:25 I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled.

4:26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the Lord, and by his fierce anger.

4:27 For thus hath the Lord said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.

Just as we saw in Genesis 1 just before God began to “renew the face of the earth” here again “tohu” and “bohu” is used to describe the condition or environment of the earth after the tribulation.

In the book of Jeremiah, God says that the planet, in essence, has become a waste, it is empty and devoid of much life. It has become a far cry from what God had created it to be and what He intended it to be: green and verdant, full of abundant growth and life and beauty.

But as God hints in Jeremiah “yet will I not make a full end” God is going to again move on the “face of the waters” and renew the planet, revitalize it, or as David puts it:

Psalm 104:30 Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.

The Book of Joel also describes what God is going to do when He renews the planet earth, and not only the planet, but He is going to pour out His Holy Spirit on all those who have survived the tribulation and also on those who are born during the time of the Millennium.

The hearts of men and women will be turned from hearts of stone and they will have God’s laws and His ways written on the tablet of their hearts making them hearts of flesh.

Joel 2:21 Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great things.

2:22 Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.

2:23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

2:24 And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.

2:25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

2:26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

2:27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

2:29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

2:30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.

2:32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call.

The Almighty Creator, the Great King and Savior of the World is going to come back to earth and then He will set about to restore and rebuild Eden. As God’s Spirit moved “on the face of the waters,” in the beginning of Creation Week, so shall He pour out His Spirit at the start of the Millennium on all flesh.

At that time the people will have a passionate desire to have Jesus as their King and Ruler and will want to zealously obey His every word.

Along with obeying all of God’s commandments and statutes, they will set about to do as He told Adam and Eve to do in the very beginning as well, to: “be fruitful … multiply, and to replenish the earth.”

God promised the ancient Israelites that prosperity, abundance, growth, good health, and revitalization are blessings that come when the people obey God; and God will fulfill these same promises when the nations begin to obey God in the Millennium.

Deuteronomy 28:9 The Lord shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways.

28:10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the Lord; and they shall be afraid of thee.

28:11 And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

28:12 The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

28:13 And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

Abundance, prosperity, and growth are blessings that result from obeying God’s laws, and the coming restored Eden will be characterized by all of these things!

Here, God through Ezekiel, gives us more descriptions of the abundance and great increase that will be the norm during the Millennium:

Ezekiel 36:11 And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

36:12 Yea, I will cause men to walk upon you, even my people Israel; and they shall possess thee, and thou shalt be their inheritance, and thou shalt no more henceforth bereave them of men.

36:13 Thus saith the Lord God; Because they say unto you, Thou land devourest up men, and hast bereaved thy nations:

36:14 Therefore thou shalt devour men no more, neither bereave thy nations any more, saith the Lord God.

36:15 Neither will I cause men to hear in thee the shame of the heathen any more, neither shalt thou bear the reproach of the people any more, neither shalt thou cause thy nations to fall any more, saith the Lord God.

Continuing on in this passage, God tells of the regeneration of the heart and the spirit within mankind with all those who survive the tribulation and begin to walk in God’s laws with the resulting blessings of abundant increase of the fields, and the abundance of fruit off the trees.

There will be no more pesticides, growth hormones, GMO’s, or pollution of our food supplies that is so commonplace in our day and age.

Ezekial 36:24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

God says that the population of men will increase like the flocks comparing them to flocks of sheep that could be seen at the Feasts throughout Jerusalem in ancient times.

Ezekiel 36:37 Thus saith the Lord God; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock.

36:38 As the holy flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the Lord.

Jerusalem and the rest of the world will become teaming with life and activity; there will be abundant, wholesome, succulent fruits and vegetables; the wasted and abandoned cities will be rebuilt, hedged about and inhabited with huge numbers of people; and in verse 35 the land is compared to the Garden of Eden.

Isaiah 51:3 For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

There will be no more poverty or lack of the things that are necessary for living; and the abundance will make for joyful living here on earth with all the blessings one could hope for. Life will be a joy and the people will be ever rejoicing over what God has done for them.

Isaiah 35:1 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.

35:2 It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God.

Yes, there will be a population explosion on the earth during the Millennium but at the same time God will make provision for the earth to produce abundantly. There will be no more huge numbers of humanity living in squalor and poverty with no hope of escape like there has been ever since Adam and Eve sinned.

The earth will produce enough food to feed all the nations.  Scripture tells us that there will be no more hunger when the people are living God’s Way.

Leviticus 26:5 And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.

Amos 9:13 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.

The caveat is that this will happen, but only if the people are keeping all of God’s commandments and are no longer going after false gods and false religion.

Deuteronomy 11:7 But your eyes have seen all the great acts of the Lord which he did.

11:8 Therefore shall ye keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and possess the land, whither ye go to possess it;

11:9 And that ye may prolong your days in the land, which the Lord sware unto your fathers to give unto them and to their seed, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

11:10 For the land, whither thou goest in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt, from whence ye came out, where thou sowedst thy seed, and wateredst it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs:

11:11 But the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven:

11:12 A land which the Lord thy God careth for: the eyes of the Lord thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.

11:13 And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the Lord your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,

11:14 That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.

11:15 And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full.

11:16 Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;

These are just a few of the Scriptures that speak of the wonderful prosperity that will characterize the restored Eden in the Millennium.

How will God provide for all these people after a few hundred years or so into the Millennium when the numbers of people are filling up the earth? There will be a need for more land to house all these people and in addition much more agricultural land will be needed to produce enough food to feed the growing population. God speaks of this concern in Isaiah 54.

Isaiah 54:1 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord.

54:2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;

54:3 For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.

As the population grows, the lands will eventually need to expand out and provide even more food and water. This will not be a need at first, for the Millennium will have a diminished population when it begins for God tells us that only a remnant will be left alive after the great tribulation. It will be a gradual situation as the few survivors start having children and their children have children.

But all of this is part of God’s plan and He will be prepared. At the present, our planet can only sustain and hold so many people and animals. This is called carrying capacity by ecologists. But God is going to take action to provide much more space for housing, new sources of fresh water, and more land to grow crops.

The present carrying capacity of the planet in its current configuration would not permit multitude billions of people to live comfortably and in abundance. Our planet lacks sufficient fresh water and cultivable land to sustain that many people. Toward the end of the Millennium, and then into the Main Fall Harvest of Humanity, there will be a great need for enough land and water to accommodate all those who are going to be raised to physical life as they live out their time (100 year life span) of qualifying to eventually be a part of God’s family.

But God, the Master Builder and Master Husbandman, has it all figured out. The Bible gives hints that God is going to reshape the surface of the earth and make some very dramatic changes.

Reshaping the Surface of the Earth

Isaiah prophecies that God is going to even out the landscape by raising up the valleys and flattening the mountains. He will cause new fountains of waters to spring up where before there were only deserts, and He is going to reclaim land from the huge oceans.

God also prophecies that humongous earthquakes are coming in the end times which will reconfigure the geographical aspects of the earth and bring forth water from the hidden underground aquifers.

Revelation 5:14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

Revelation 16:18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

Zechariah 14:4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

Zechariah 14:8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.

How will He actually do all this? We just do not know all the specifics but we know that God is God and He is the Almighty Creator full of power and so much more intelligent than mere man.

Here are a few Scriptures that tell us of several things that have to happen to make more room for the masses of people even if we cannot know how He is going to do it at this time.

* God tells us that He is going to even out the landscape of areas that were not usable before.

Isaiah 40:4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:

* God is going to provide abundant fresh water supplies for He says He is going to open up “rivers in high places and fountains in the midst of the valleys.”

Geologists do know that great continental aquifers flow deep beneath the surface of the earth and even though they are presently inaccessible, someday God is going to make all that fresh water readily available for the needs of mankind when they are obeying and following after Him.

Isaiah 35:6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. 35:7 And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

Isaiah 41:18 I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.

Many more land masses will also be made available for farming as God remakes hundreds of thousands of square miles of land that is currently dedicated to mountainous areas and volcanoes, swampland, canyons, and arid deserts. God is going to remake these areas so that they become tillable and able to produce all kinds of vegetation and also provide abundant grazing lands for sheep and cattle.

Again we read in Ezekiel 36:34 “and the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate [previously] in the sight of all that passed by.” God is going to take masses of land that has never been tillable and make it become agriculturally productive. He will provide for the growing population so that all can live in abundance even when there will be many more people than we can even begin to imagine on earth in the future Millennium and beyond.

*Then God is also going to reclaim land from the oceans. If He can make a way through the Red Sea for the children of Israel to go over dry shod, He can dry up any ocean or any mighty river no matter how majestic and tumultuous it may seem.

Isaiah 11:15 And the Lord shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod.

11:16 And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

Isaiah 44:27 That saith to the deep, Be dry, and I will dry up thy rivers:

Isaiah 50:2 Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.

Again, we do not know how God is going to dry up the seas and great waterways, but He says He is going to do it and that He will bring the wealth that lies under the ocean beds to be used in His kingdom. All this land reclaimed from the seas will be made available to man making it possible to transform it into vast areas for cultivating into abundant farmland, orchards, and vineyards.

Isaiah 60:5 Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.

Scientists know that vast amounts of minerals, gold and silver lie under the sea beds; recovering those things will contribute to the wealth that will be made available in producing abundance for all mankind.

* Could it be that God will also change the climate around the world? Positive climate change could very well be both a cause and a result of the other geographical changes we just talked about that are going to happen on the planet.

It does seem that with all the other changes that are going to occur God will remove the extremes in weather patterns. Mountain ranges will no longer be present to inhibit rainfall and perhaps God will change jet streams and there could even be changes to the upper atmosphere thereby broadening the width of the planet’s temperate zones.

Favorable weather conditions also make for more abundant crops. We do know that one of the blessings for obedience is “rain in due season”.

Deuteronomy 11:14 That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.

Deuteronomy 28:12 The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. 28:13 And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

Faith in God’s Loving Providence

God’s people can have assurance and faith that God will act to provide for the needs of a growing population so that when the people say, “give us a place,” there will be a place for them. God will use His creative powers to insure that the ever-growing population will be able to have plenty of food and pure water in abundance throughout all the world.

God the Father and Christ the Messiah, who planned the world and the redemption of mankind from the foundation of the world, have it all figured out. It is so exciting to think and mediate on what God has in store for us and for the rest of humanity; to think that we may very well be able to witness all of these fabulous supernatural things that are going take place; it is just beyond words.

1st Peter 1:20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

Isaiah 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

God who is All-Powerful enough to create the heavenly stars, planets and galaxies, and everything on earth from nothing is powerful enough to reform the earth’s land topography, reshape the surface of the earth, and cause water to gush forth from the depths of the earth and even from rocks.

We have nothing to worry about as far as how God is going to feed and take care of the innumerable multitudes that will eventually inhabit the earth in the Millennium and later during the seven thousand years of bringing back all (each in his own time) who have ever lived and died who never had a chance to know God in the six thousand years of man’s rule.

We may not all have the details of how God is going to do all this but we have His sure promises that this is going to happen. It is just a matter of time and in God’s own appointed time-frame.

Our job is to remain faithful to Him, to walk with Him each and every day and to learn all we can of God’s ways and His laws. We are to be applying His Word into our hearts and into our lives and then to keep busy in His work to teach and warn the Ekklesia and the world of what the future holds up ahead.

God will give us the necessary knowledge and the know-how when it is time for us to know. What He wants now is to know who will be always be loyal and faithful to Him even if they do not know all the details and then He will be able to use those who are faithful in whatever capacity He sees fit.

John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

14:2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

14:4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

God’s Word throughout Genesis to Revelation gives us the “sure word of prophecy” which tells us that there is an incredible wonderful future ahead for all those who trust and obey God now; but also for those who will do so in the Millennium and beyond.

Isaiah 44:26 That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof:

The Bible teaches us that there is going to be great growth on earth and that it will be accompanied with great prosperity, that the land of Eden will be restored along with the whole world which will also become like Eden.

God’s Words says it will happen in so many passages of Scripture. We can count on it, but we must also prepare now while we still have time, and not be neglectful of so great salvation that God is offering to those who are called to be His children.

Hebrews 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

In Conclusion

Sometime in the near future our world is going to go through some very tumultuous changes. Those of us who have eyes to see know that our planet earth is currently careening toward devastation and total destruction! Unless God intervenes to change things everything is going to be destroyed including all life on earth.

The earth, the waters and the atmosphere are becoming so poisoned and toxic that no living thing is going to be able to survive if we keep going in the direction that we have been. Many of us will live to witness the devastation of our peoples and the land in which we live.

We are most assuredly living in the latter days (a time just before Jesus Christ returns and sets up His Kingdom) and all of the Biblical end time prophecies are in the process of coming together even though much is still happening behind closed doors.

The Bible predicts that certain things are going to happen and are already beginning in our time described as “the beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24:8). The days we are living in right now are leading up to what Jesus calls the great tribulation which is rapidly approaching.

No amount of preparedness on the part of the people is going to save anyone. The reason these things will come upon us is not just because we have wicked and corrupt leaders and government, (we have the leaders we deserve!) but because we as a nation and the whole world have turned our backs on acknowledging our Creator God and refuse to obey His divine laws which if obeyed would bring about perfect peace, prosperity, long healthy lives, and happy families.

As for Israel in our modern day of Sodom and Gomorrah God says:

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge [of God], I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me [there are no more fit leaders that are righteous enough, both secular and religious, that God can use]: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

No amount of human ingenuity is going to save the planet and no amount of money can buy people peace and security; only genuine, sincere repentance to belief in the true Creator of heaven and earth, and the keeping of God’s WAY of life (the keeping of His holy and righteous commandments) will turn the tide.

But it does not appear that very many are willing to look to God and repent of their wicked ways even though our ways have brought on all the problems of the world.

As most of us can see, the world is getting more wicked and perverse by the day and any semblance of the keeping of the true ways of God is continually eroding.

Those who do strive to live according to some of God’s standards are persecuted and are even killed in other countries of the world now.

The days ahead are going to get so bad that unless Jesus Christ comes back to intervene in the evils that are happening, no flesh (persons) will be saved.

This time of trouble is going to last for 3 1/2 years and then Jesus will come back to earth to save mankind from completely destroying themselves and each other.

Only Jesus Christ has the power and ability to eradicate all evil from this earth and restore the earth from the destructive ravages of war and pollution caused by sinful men.

The great tribulation will be our wake up call and many are going to die and suffer, but there is still hope; for Christ is going to return to this earth and usher in His millennial  KINGDOM with the kind of world government that will bring lasting peace and prosperity for all people.

It is the kind of government that none of us have ever known but this is our hope. God’s end-time prophecies and His Plan of Salvation for mankind are going to be carried out regardless of the plans of carnal men.

Christ, along with His saints that He has prepared and trained during this present age, is going to set up His Millennial Kingdom. They will begin the education process of teaching all nations who have been humbled (through the tribulation) and who come to Christ in sincere repentance of their evil ways, how to live righteous lives: the kind of lives that produce life, abundance, and beauty, rather than wasting and destruction.

Christ, along with His resurrected saints and the people still living, will begin the vast clean up operation that will make the earth a pristine, crowned jewel; a beautiful dazzling Eden once again.

Finally, what God commanded Adam and Eve to do in the beginning: to be fruitful, to multiply and replenish the earth starting with Eden, will finally become a reality when the sons of God begin to do their work starting from Jerusalem and all peoples of the world in the Millennium do their part, in enhancing and beautifying the earth.

Those who are the called-out by the heavenly Father have been taught these things for many years; believers know that there is ultimately going to be tremendous restoration for ALL of HUMANITY.

God’s Plan of Salvation is for all those who truly repent and who then vehemently desire to embrace God’s way of living; and there is a marvelous future for them in the days ahead.

After much destruction and pain that will come upon this nation and upon the whole world because of man’s destructive behavior, Jesus is going to come to earth and banish all evil and corruption from it and usher in REAL peace, righteousness and equity for all peoples once and for all.

As things ratchet up in the days to come and the world gets even more violent and insane, let us think upon God’s promises of a restored Eden and pray: “Thy Kingdom come!”

Isaiah 9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

What a wonderful privilege to know that eventually all things will be fulfilled according to the Father’s and the Son’s Eternal Plan, the Plan that was worked out from the foundation of the world!

Romans 11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! 11:34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor? 11:35 Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

Have a wonderful Sabbath everyone,

Constance
