The LORD will come in fury over all the false teachings and the commandment breaking and all the evils in the earth.
Isaiah 34:1 Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye people: let the earth hear, and all that is therein; the world, and all things that come forth of it. 34:2 For the indignation of the LORD is upon all nations, and his fury upon all their armies: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter. 34:3 Their slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood.
The heavenly signs of the sixth seal. Please see: Revelation: The Seven Seals Explained
Revelation 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
6:13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. 6:14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
6:15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; 6:16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
6:17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
Isaiah 34:4 And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved [disappear in the brightness of Christ’s appearance], and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll [the brightness of Christ will blot out the sun and the heavenly bodies will not be seen for the Glory of our Mighty One]: and all their host [the host; the army of the resurrected chosen shall come down to the earth] shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.
The LORD will pour out his fury on Turkey for their rage against Judah (Psalm 83).
34:5 For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea [Edom, Turkey], and upon the people of my curse, to judgment. 34:6 The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea [Turkey].
34:7 And the unicorns [their mighty ones shall fall] shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls [their strong and powerful ones shall fall]; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness.
This is coming because the Turks will ally themselves with the king of the north, the New Federal Europe; and will rejoice at the fall of Judah and Israel their brother; and take a great spoil from Judah.
34:8 For it is the day of the LORD’s vengeance, and the year of recompences [retribution] for the controversy of Zion.
This seems to speak of the tectonic and volcanic nature of Turkey erupting.
For more about Turkey see: Obadiah: A Warning to Turkey: Do NOT Ally With The New Europe
34:9 And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch [tar], and the dust thereof into brimstone [fiery burning sulfur or molten rock; lava], and the land thereof shall become burning pitch [likely volcanic eruptions of lava due to immense earthquakes]. 34:10 It shall not be quenched [the fire cannot be put out and must burn out its fuel supply] night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it [the volcanized land will lie waste] shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever [until the present earth is burned up and a new earth is created].
The devastated areas of Turkey shall become the lair of birds and wild beasts.
34:11 But the cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven shall dwell in it: and he shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness. 34:12 They shall call the nobles thereof to the kingdom, but none shall be there, and all her princes shall be nothing. 34:13 And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it shall be an habitation of dragons [jackals], and a court for owls.
34:14 The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr [wild goat] shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest. 34:15 There shall the great owl make her nest, and lay, and hatch, and gather under her shadow: there shall the vultures also be gathered, every one with her mate.
None of these words shall fail in the Kingdom of God. Esau shall be kept low for all his wickedness against his brother and for despising his birthright.
Many in the brotherhood today, despise the birthright of their calling, by failing to have any zeal for the ways, will, teachings, and commandments of their espoused Husband.
They would rather have their own ways, or idolize the men and organizations that teach them to be lukewarm and without zeal for all the doctrines [teachings] and commandments of Christ. They are zealous for their idols of men and organizations, exalting them above their baptismal commitment to espousal to Jesus Christ as their ONLY Husband and their ONLY MEDITOR with the Father in heaven!
Remember the end of Esau, who despised his birthright and sold it for a temporary physical pleasure; instead of fighting for it with all his strength.
FIGHT temptation to compromise with our love for our espoused Husband and compromise our loyalty [obedience] to him; by running to his open arms! Be zealous for his ways and seek him in sincere repentance!
34:16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.
34:17 And he hath cast the lot for them, and his hand hath divided [given this fate to them] it unto them [Edom, major parts of Turkey] by line: they shall possess it for ever, from generation to generation shall they [the wild beasts] dwell therein.
The zealous of the LORD will rejoice in his coming and the wonders of the Kingdom of God!
Isaiah 35:1 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. 35:2 It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.
Exhort and encourage the people to an enthusiastic zeal for the Lord God of Jacob, who shall deliver his zealously faithful people!
Those who are being persecuted by the proud: Be Strong in a wholehearted zeal to live by every Word of God!
35:3 Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. 35:4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
Christ IS coming and will bring to humble repentance and deliver all humanity.
35:5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. 35:6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
The parched land shall be as a pool of water; and the spiritually parched shall be filled with the waters of salvation [the Holy Spirit of God]!
35:7 And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
A highway to Jerusalem shall be for those who seek to come; this also being a type of a spiritual highway to the God of Salvation!
35:8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
Deliverance is at hand for the sincerely repentant who seek out their God and all his ways to keep them! May God speed that day!
35:9 No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there: 35:10 And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
God provides an example of his deliverance in the history of Judah for the encouragement of all who put their trust in Christ.
Sennacherib takes Judea of Hezekiah and lays siege to Jerusalem (See 2 Kings beginning in 18:13).
Isaiah 36:1 Now it came to pass in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah, that Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the defenced cities of Judah, and took them.
After conquering all the defenses of Judah Rabshakeh is sent to demand the surrender of Jerusalem
36:2 And the king of Assyria sent Rabshakeh from Lachish to Jerusalem unto king Hezekiah with a great army. And he stood by the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller’s field.
Eliakim and Shebna are sent to hear Rabshakeh.
36:3 Then came forth unto him Eliakim, Hilkiah’s son, which was over the house, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, Asaph’s son, the recorder.
Rabshakeh explains that Egypt cannot save Jerusalem which is the truth as Isaiah had prophesied.
36:4 And Rabshakeh said unto them, Say ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this wherein thou trustest? 36:5 I say, sayest thou, (but they are but vain words) I have counsel and strength for war: now on whom dost thou trust, that thou rebellest against me? 36:6 Lo, thou trustest in the staff of this broken reed, on Egypt; whereon if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all that trust in him.
Hezekiah had destroyed all the high place of idol worship and commanded the people to worship YHVH [Jesus Christ] only. Rabshakeh confuses the Eternal with the idols and false gods that Hezekiah has destroyed.
36:7 But if thou say to me,We trust in the LORD our God: is it not he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and said to Judah and to Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar?
Rabshakeh mocks Hezekiah demanding pledges of loyalty to Assyria and promises to arm his troops if there are enough men to ride the horses he can provide.
36:8 Now therefore give pledges, I pray thee, to my master the king of Assyria, and I will give thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them.
Rabshakeh says that it is God who has told him to destroy Jerusalem and Judah.
36:9 How then wilt thou turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master’s servants, and put thy trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen? 36:10 And am I now come up without the LORD against this land to destroy it? the LORD said unto me, Go up against this land, and destroy it.
Rabshakeh is actually shouting up to the wall of the city where the Jews are listening to all his words and Eliakim asks him to stop speaking in the language of the Jews and to keep his words private.
36:11 Then said Eliakim and Shebna and Joah unto Rabshakeh, Speak, I pray thee, unto thy servants in the Syrian language; for we understand it: and speak not to us in the Jews’ language, in the ears of the people that are on the wall.
Rabshakeh refused for his purpose was to dishearten the inhabitants of Jerusalem. He warns them of the sore famine that the siege will bring.
36:12 But Rabshakeh said, Hath my master sent me to thy master and to thee to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men that sit upon the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?
Rabshakeh then warns the people to abandon resistance to the king of Assyria.
36:13 Then Rabshakeh stood, and cried with a loud voice in the Jews’ language, and said, Hear ye the words of the great king, the king of Assyria.
36:14 Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you.
Then Rabshakeh makes a huge mistake telling the people NOT to trust in God
36:15 Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us: this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.
36:16 Hearken not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me: and eat ye every one of his vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his own cistern; 36:17 Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards.
Rabshakeh compares YHVH [the family name of God the Father and Jesus Christ] to the other false gods of the nations.
36:18 Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, the LORD will deliver us. Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria? 36:19 Where are the gods of Hamath and Arphad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim? and have they delivered Samaria out of my hand? 36:20Who are they among all the gods of these lands, that have delivered their land out of my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?
36:21 But they held their peace, and answered him not a word: for the king’s commandment was, saying, Answer him not.
36:22 Then came Eliakim, the son of Hilkiah, that was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, the son of Asaph, the recorder, to Hezekiah with their clothes rent, and told him the words of Rabshakeh.
Brethren, this is an example for us today! We should not be dismayed by our troubles and trials! We should trust in our God who is Mighty to Save!
We should not allow trials and fears to separate us from zeal for our God; we should not allow our needs to entice us to water down the doctrine and commandments for numbers and wealth; when such things will quickly fade away while the anger of our Mighty One shall burn hot against our apostasy for worldliness.
Be zealous for the sound doctrine of every Word of God and hide ourselves in the arms of the ROCK of our Salvation!
